U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) may require clearance information from customers, depending on the value or due to certain products on an order. This information is needed for parcels to be released for delivery with the courier.
This may be requested when:
a) the value of your order is over $2,500 and requires formal clearance from customs.
b) the value of your order is over $250 and contains products that have been manufactured in China, these items are subject to the section 301 tariffs, and they too, require formal clearance from customs
On these occasions, your Employee Identification Number (EIN) or Social Security Number (SSN) will be requested. Once received, your order will then be released for delivery with the courier.
It is important that this information is provided as quickly as possible, as if they are not able to clear your parcel from customs, they will not be able to deliver your order to you.
The courier UPS can request this information directly, or our Customer Care Team may contact you on their behalf.
